Firm Overview

Washington, D.C., Criminal Defense Law Firm

After serving as an Assistant United States Attorney in Washington, D.C., from 1969-1973, Kenneth Michael Robinson first opened the doors to The Robinson Law Firm in 1975 and began providing criminal defense services to clients throughout the District of Columbia and the surrounding areas of Maryland and northern Virginia. Since that time, our firm, our practice areas, and our reputation have grown considerably.

Now known as The Robinson & Kourtesis Law Firm, we have expanded on our original criminal defense focus to include complex civil litigation involving personal injury, employment disputes, intellectual property, civil rights violations, and a wide variety of other concerns on behalf of clients throughout the United States. More than 2000 jury trials, 300 appellate cases, and 30 years later, criminal defense is still at the heart of our practice.

Today, The Robinson & Kourtesis Law Firm defends individuals from throughout the United States who have been charged with white collar crimes and other more serious offenses. In Washington, D.C., and the surrounding areas of Maryland and northern Virginia, we offer a comprehensive range of criminal defense services that cover everything from speeding tickets to capital murder.

An AV Rated* Law Firm

The quality representation we provide in these matters has not gone unnoticed by our peers. We maintain an AV* Rating, the highest designation under Martindale-Hubbell's peer review rating system, and two of our firm's partners, Kenneth Michael Robinson and Nikolaos (Nick) Panagiotis Kourtesis, have each been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® reference guide.

If you are concerned that our firm may be too small to handle your case or that we lack the resources necessary to protect your rights, do not be. The Robinson & Kourtesis Law Firm has close, established relationships with lawyers possessing various areas of expertise and resources we can draw on if necessary. While we do resolve criminal cases through pleas whenever this is the best way to achieve the best possible result for you, we are not afraid of any opponent, state or federal. We not only try cases—we win them on a consistent basis.

Fee Arrangements

The Robinson & Kourtesis Law Firm offers payment plans, accepts all major credit cards, and provides an E-Pay option for our criminal defense clients. We will explain our fee structure at your initial consultation and give you an expected high and low estimate of the costs for your particular case. In almost all cases, we come very close to meeting those initial cost projections.
